Dear Dolphin Families,

I wanted to share with you that July will be my final month as Head Coach of the Donelson Dolphins.

This was not an easy decision. My responsibilities in my full-time teaching career continue to grow, and with new leadership opportunities this school year, I need to focus my time and energy there. After a great deal of thought (and some tears), I know this is the right decision for me.

Coaching this team has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. Thank you for trusting me with your swimmers, encouraging them from the sidelines, volunteering at meets, and helping create a community where kids could learn, grow, and have fun.

Although I am stepping away from coaching, I am not leaving the YMCA community. My husband and I will continue to be members of the Y, and I look forward to cheering on the Dolphins from the stands.

I will be sharing this news at practice today with the swimmers, but wanted to loop parents in first.  

Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your swimmers' journeys. I will always be grateful for the memories we've made together and I can't wait to watch the continued success of our Dolphins!
