Good Afternoon Dolphins!

We have an exciting opportunity to participate in the YMCA Summer Splash Swim Meet on Saturday, June 27, in Springfield, TN. This meet will give our swimmers a chance to compete against athletes from other YMCA programs and enjoy a fun day of racing together as a team.

The meet will be held at 3332 Tom Austin Hwy, Springfield, TN 37172, approximately 45 minutes from the Donelson-Hermitage YMCA. Doors open at 7:45 a.m., warm-ups begin around 8:30 a.m., and the meet starts at 10:00 a.m.

A few things to keep in mind: this is an outdoor pool, there will be no backstroke events, and shade is limited. Families should plan to bring popup tents/umbrellas, chairs, sunscreen, water, and anything else needed to stay comfortable throughout the day.

If your swimmer would like to participate, please register via SwimTopia by Friday, June 19th so that we can submit entries and make the necessary staffing arrangements. If you are confused on how to use SwimTopia, or don’t think you have access to the app, I will be available during both practices on Monday and Wednesday this week to assist!

Because of the travel and volunteer requirements involved, we will only attend the meet if at least five (5) swimmers commit by June 19. If we do not reach that number, we will not participate as a team this year. We hope many of our Dolphins will be able to join us for a fun day of swimming.
