I hope everyone had a restful, memory-filled break. As we look ahead to the 2026 season, I wanted to share a few important reminders and updates regarding our return to practice, upcoming meet dates, equipment expectations, and some new opportunities beginning this year.

Practice Schedule
We will return to our regularly scheduled practices on Sunday, January 4th:

• Flippers:1:00–2:00 pm
• Fins: 2:00–3:00 pm

Upcoming Swim Meets

• January 31: YMCA of Middle TN – New Year Invite
• February 28: YMCA of Middle TN – Sweetheart Meet
• March 28: YMCA of Middle TN – Lucky Charms Meet
• April 25: YMCA of Middle TN – Winter Spring Championships

New in February: Focused Skills Practice
Beginning in February, we will offer an additional 30-minute focused practice session for the Fins group immediately following regular practice, from 8:00–8:30 pm. These sessions will focus on specific skills, and both the skills being targeted and the coaches leading each session will be announced at the beginning of each month.

Equipment Reminders (Beginning in January)

Fins Group (7:00–8:00 pm)
Swimmers should bring the following items to every practice:

• Cap
• Goggles
• Mesh bag
• Fins
• Snorkel
• Clean, old pair of tennis shoes

Flippers Group (6:00–7:00 pm)
Swimmers should bring:

• Cap
• Goggles
• Fins

Mandatory Parent Meeting
We will also be hosting a mandatory parent meeting at the start of the new year to walk through the overall arc of the team, expectations for the season, and opportunities for families to be more involved. We are currently working to secure a location that can accommodate all families, so a specific date and time have not yet been finalized. We will share those details as soon as they are confirmed.
